1209 TPP Cycle files now available for download

The PDF files for the 1209 TPP Approach Plate Cycle which starts August 23, 2012 are now available for download.

1208 Cycle TPP and A/FD Available

The files for the 1208 Cycle which starts July 26, 2012 are now available for download. This includes the TPP (Approach Plates) and the A/FD (Airport and Facility Directory).

1207 Cycle TPP now available for download

The FAA 1207 cycle TPP PDF files are now posted and available for download.

1206 TPP and A/FD Cycle now posted

The FAA 1206 TPP and A/FD cycle PDF files are now posted and available for download.

1205 Cycle TPP now online

We now have the 1205 TPP cycle data files back online.

Going forward we will be acquiring the FAA DVD for processing and re-posting in the book format, that is, until the FAA puts up another roadblock.

FAA Problems

We Apologize.

The FAA is seeking to use digital content as a revenue source. As a result they have slowly been squeezing the access to the content via the Aeronav website. Starting this cycle they have removed the database which allows automatic download of the files. We are working on getting the data via DVD, however we do not yet have an availability date for this cycle. When we do we will send out an email to all registered members.

What can you do? First, we suggest writing your congressman. The Senate committee reviewing the FAA’s changes has already slapped them on the wrist, but no decision has been made and the FAA appears to be taking more aggressive steps to block access to the data.

Site Troubles

Sorry to report we’ve had some troubles with hacking of our site. The membership database was corrupted and as a result we have removed the login/membership requirement to access the site FAA data.

Depending on the outcome of the FAA plan for charging for access to the data we will re-evaluate the future of the site and membership access procedures.
